Toolkit preparation
Dates: June 2007 to May 2009
Under the second activity the project team will develop toolkits for various stakeholders: policy makers, solar energy technology providers, microfinance providers, microentrepreneurs.
The toolkits include guidelines for installers and suppliers on how best to develop their solar business including presenting solar panel design, installation, distribution and maintenance. The toolkits will introduce microfinance to stakeholders which do not come from this sector to show how microfinance can be used for the acquisition & maintenance of solar panels. The toolkits for the end-users will help them maximise the life and performance of their system by choosing the right equipment, by doing good and regular maintenance and by using their new access to electricity to develop their business.
